STAG

Stag is a comedy of familiar places and questionable behaviour. Paint, decoration and signage gave its Toronto locations their own character, from the warm, crowded stag venue to the worn timber of a freight elevator. Beer signs, poker tables and layers of dressing helped establish the social world of the party and set the tone for the humour.

For the film-set scenes, the operating elevator was fitted with working lift gates and additional walls built to match its existing surfaces. The approach throughout was practical and playful, shaping each space around the characters and the comedy.
